My Anthesis Series explores the moment dynamic energy erupts from a central core. Vibrating color transports the shards through and off the painted surface. The core’s location shifts within each piece creating a variety of geometric tensions. 

    These hard edge paintings pay homage to the Washington Color School artists of the 1950s and 1960s who removed the passion of the artist's hand from their work, which allowed the emphasis to be that of the viewer's experience. The series also interprets tension felt throughout the world in the volatile times in which we live.
